Oooo, it's the Street Rods (13 images)
Posted By: Workingdog, 06-08-2008, 06:46 AM

It turns out that photographing cars at a car show isn't as easy as one might think. The cars are close together, there are a lot of people getting in the way, cluttered and distracting backgrounds so I didn't get a lot of shots "of the whole car". I liked these and I hope you do also. I welcome your comments.

I have tried shooting cars in the past and they never turn out like this! The angles and perspective you chose worked out very well.

Your pictures are very nice, seems like there were many nice cars at that show.

Very good shots, was that a real Cobra or a fiberglass remake?

Jack,
I didn't speak to the owner so it's hard to say. It was metal so could be the real deal.

All are very nice - but #7, in my view, is really special.

Not easy as you made it look. Very nice images and I like the perpectives chosen here. I shot a Mopar Meet-up that didn't come out anywhere near as good as these. I guess it helps to have interesting cars to shoot. Nothing like having some colorful hotrods as subjects.....#7 and #8 are my faves.

Thank you all for your comments. I really wasn't sure if these would work and I suppose some work better than others. Please tell me what you think of this sort of presentation. I'm thinking about doing some of the better images in a similar style. Since most (including me) liked the Ford Pick-up, here it is.

Tough to shoot cars at a car show like this. Always fighting back grounds and people in the way. You did a nice job. If I had to pick favorite it woul be #7 as it has nice colors, angle and nothing distracting in the back ground. Good job!

You have got some really cool images there. The patterns on the car are the most intriguing.
