Went out to the lake today around 5pm. Decided to have a little fun with my new to me Super Takumar 200mm f/4. I also took some shots today with the SMC-M 28mm f/2.8 later in the evening. All images are SOOC jpegs that have been resized, minus one image which has been cropped. A nice day at the lake, it was quite hot today but the lake was nice and breezy. The heat created quite a bit of haze. Ordered a hood for the 200 f/4 as well as a lens cap, just need them to arrive. Took several shots, but these were some of the best ones (at least the most interesting, and not any of the ones that I took backlit with the haze from the humidity haze).
Barn swallow perched on a power line. This is the cropped image. I was quite some distance away and shooting handheld with the Super Tak 200mm, think aperture was 7.1 or 8 @ ISO 100... shutter was probably around 250 or 320.
Another super tak 200 shot. The building in the image is the main marina for the lake. I was at the sailboat area across the lake. I pixel peeped it in-cam, and the full size image you can almost read the words on the sign, and the word pepsi on the soda machine under the awning. The pepsi logo is unmistakable. Resized to 25% of original.
The first really nice sunset I was able to capture with the K-50. Resized to 25% of original. Camera was in vivid color mode for this shot and the 2 previous ones. Taken with the SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/2.8.
What would an eventful day at the lake be if I didn't have any night shots too. Even our ghosts fish around here (and the overpriced nickel and dime state that PA is, even the ghosts need fishing licenses...). This is the first time I've experimented with "ghost" shots using long exposure. You can see the star trails in the image. Shot was around 5-6 minutes @ ISO 100 using the 28mm f/2.8. This is also the first and last time I will be appearing in any of my pictures.
All in all an eventful day. Would have been moreso had I caught a fish... well... a fish bigger than the jitterbug I was fishing with (it really was smaller than the lure...). Even had a good dinner at one of the restaurants around the lake. Plus I got to see a meteor.
