Sometimes fences are handy when you don't have a tripod.

Just great, Rob. I don't remember ever seeing a cityscape treated as you have here. Minimalist and creative - I dig it.

Thanks Jer! I'll have to try again next time I'm there, with a tripod. For this shot I used a fence post. I've been trying to get an "Atlantis" effect.

Thank you! I wish I could take the DA*300 with me to get really high distance compression with better sharpness.

I keep coming back to relook at this first image, it's been kinda haunting me all day.

I have at last come to the conclusion that IMHO, I consider that there's too much negative (black) space here. Would you be prepared to throw in a few more stars for me.

In several of the shots, there was a bright star in the top left. For that matter there's an overexposed image with a lot more stars, though not as many as might otherwise be seen without the light pollution. I decided against that image, because the buildings became utterly over-exposed. I agree that it would be nicer to have the buildings higher in the frame, but there's a rock breakwall which I needed to crop out of the foreground as a distraction. I'll have to pack a tripod next time!

Cool shot. Looks like the city is floating in a black hole. I like it.
