Japanese Maple

My brother's Japanese Maple is celebrating Autumn. This tree grew from a cutting of a bonsai.

Beautiful reds. We have one in our yard but it seems more maroon than red in the fall.

Thanks Susan! It seems to vary from tree to tree and the progress of the change to autumn.

Great color! Ours too tends more towards the purplish side of the spectrum...

Thanks! I'll hopefully see a lot more in November in Japan. When travelling from Europe to the USA years ago I looked down as we flew over north eastern Canada and thought there had been a bushfire. Then I realised that it was autumn, and it was all the beautiful forest I'd seen years before between Toronto and Montreal.
