My brother's Japanese Maple is celebrating Autumn. This tree grew from a cutting of a bonsai.

Thanks! You only have to wait a few months! I'm planning a trip to Japan in November to try to catch the colour over there.

Beautiful reds. We have one in our yard but it seems more maroon than red in the fall.

Thanks Susan! It seems to vary from tree to tree and the progress of the change to autumn.

Thanks! I'll hopefully see a lot more in November in Japan.

When travelling from Europe to the USA years ago I looked down as we flew over north eastern Canada and thought there had been a bushfire. Then I realised that it was autumn, and it was all the beautiful forest I'd seen years before between Toronto and Montreal.
