First walkabout with my Pentax K-5 IIs
Lens: Tamron 17-50 f2.8 Dii, Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6 Di Camera: k-5 IIs

Hi!

I just got myself a Pentax K-5 IIs (used but in mint condition with just ~200 shots made). It is an upgrade from my old Pentax K-10D which served me well for many years. Me and my family went to the countryside this weekend so I naturally took my new camera with me. Below there are some pictures. No big art - just to see what the k-5IIs is capable with my Tamron lenses (17-50 F2.8 Dii; 70-300 F4-5.6 Di Macro). The weather was not very pleasant - frequent rain and strong winds, so we had to stay inside for the most time and it was also quite difficult to shoot macro (used burst mode to get at least some images in focus). Overall I'm really impressed by the performance of the camera, especially the sharpness. About the macro shots - yeah, the focus could be better at times, but as I said, the conditions were quite challenging because of the strong wind.

Beautiful nature photos. I really like the country landscapes with the dogwood (I think it's a dogwood).

Thanks! It's not a dogwood, it's a blooming cherry tree.
