Green Ant
Lens: Sigma 105mm Macro Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Darwin
Posted By: Bruce Clark, 05-20-2015, 08:21 PM

I was clearing out and reorganising my image files last night (big job) and came across several images I had meant to process but had forgotten about. Here is one.

These bright green and gold ants can give a very nasty nip. The tree is in a park in the centre of Darwin. The ants were swarming all over the flowers, gathering nectar I suppose.

I love the colors and composition, Bruce. Very nice image. The bokeh is super! TFS.

Love this shot. Lots of detail in both the flower and the ant. That green and gold on the ant is really something to see and it is so sharp.

Apparently, mashed up and mixed with water, they make a drink that tastes like lemonade!

perfect composition and post but the focus on the eyes would have made it perfect. Compliments anyway.
