Scorpio rising
Lens: Pentax-M 28 mm F2.8 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: Franklin Vermont ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F3.5

Scorpio and the Milky Way rising over the Hill. Taken from Lake Carmi State park in Vermont. High altitude clouds "puffed" the brightest stars but smudged the nebulas. 2.5 min exposure for the stars iso 1000, guided with Pentax astrotracer. 30 s iso 1000 for the foreground, unguided.

That's beautiful. Star photography is where I feel I need the most improvements. Practice, practice, I guess.

The"dark horse" in the center of the photo really stands out against the milky glow - well done.
