Just with the basics
Lens: 18-250mm Pentax Camera: K5IIs ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/80s Aperture: F11
Posted By: charliezap, 05-22-2015, 08:24 AM

One of my HB feeders is right outside the front door.Last night at right after sunset he was still feeding.I grabbed the K5IIs with my trusty walking around lens (Pentax 18-250MM) and stood 1 ft from the feeder. He didn't mind at all. I even felt the wind from his wing beats since I was that close.--charliezap

How do the birds react to the point-blank flash? Maybe the photogenic critters are used to the attention..

A great result, especially considering onboard flash and such a subject! And a pretty nice looking bird too.
