Beautifully done, buddy. An evocative photo with perfect B&W PP.

We hope to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Connecticut later in the summer - maybe, as you suggested in another thread, we can meet up for a libation or two.

You mean this, right? ...

That's a great song to play/sing "on the dock".

Very deep, leads me to think he might be in a very dark place, the stooped shoulders, the cane, hiding in the shade and he appears to be seeking some kind of answer. Perhaps a Wounded Warrior. Hope you spoke a kind word to him. thanks for sharing, Cliff

Cliff - I keep coming back and looking at this photograph and you've defined exactly why. It's beautiful but there's a dark component that just gets me.

Dave - once again, this is a fine piece of photography.

Yes Jer, this begs more questions than answers. Maybe a veteran, notice the cane, he is in a very dark place. My brother a Viet Nam survivor fought his demon, during a firefight they ran low on ammo, he went to get more ammo, while he was gone the foxhole he was in took a direct hit killing everyone in it, this chased him for 15 years, but he did finally beat it and got his life together.

it's my brother in law... proud vet of the silent service in peace time... however, he has a bum knee, and walking about mystic seaport was a chore for him... but he gutted it out....
