Finally out with nature
Posted By: codiac2600, 06-10-2008, 05:34 PM

Life has been busy but truly worth the extra work and I even had time to shoot at my old bug hunting grounds.

Here are a quick set of images taken with the K20D and Sigma 105mm macro.

Wow, beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing!

Did you do any post-processing to get those colors and gradients on the fly's eyes?

They look good like always Chris,
I almost forgot that you used to do a fair amount of mature photographs.

First of all before there's a punch up I think Little Laker meant 'nature shots'. Now I've got my bud out of the hole he dug; Real nice macro's Chris, you've set a bar for me. I have a favor to ask, I have a k10 and the Sigma 105mm. Any chance you could post some side by side comparisons of that lens on the K10 and K20. I know you're busy but it would sure help me with some decision making.
Thanks,
Gary

Wonderful colors and images Chris! I will not ask how you got those shots... <jk>

Seriously, vibrant colors as usual.

Marc

Your images are incredible. I understand the water marks after your bad experience. But it's sad they have to be there. I know if they don't go right across the image, then the image isn't really protected much. I admire your skill and images Chris.

btw, someone was asking about directions for changing the focus screen in the k10d. I went searching your site. I see that your video on changing the screen isn't available anymore? Or could I just not find it? I found the blog entry but not the video.

Thanks for saving me Gary, I made that post as I was running out the door. And I guess that I should have proof read it

Well Chris I dont comment on some of your work because everybody else beats me to it and I dont know an awful lot about portraiture. Have to say that these are some fine pictures though, I almost bought the K20 last week and wish i had now. Maybe next pay day Seems to be a great lens too.

All I was gonna say was, these models are not nearly as nice to look at as your usual ones.

Great work and as I usually say, bugs just creap me out!
