This looks like it may well not be in use now, what was it before?

These make great places to shoot models and musical groups in, if you can get access, even better with permission, especially as I'm not as fast now as I used to be.

It used to be steelworks and other supporting parts of heavy industry founded in 19th century, long closed by now but the try to make a museum out of it but so far just about 50 percent is accessible, some for free some for fee. I am gonna go there in night time one day with my tripod to takse somemore pictures.
