just received this lens and took out to capture some images. As i was told, 90mm is not the S1 series. Nevertheless, some shots captured here....

Did you use the 2x Macro TC which makes this lens a 180mm, or was this only with the 90, which makes the images 1:2 macro? In that case, you have large flies in Singapore

This was shot with 1:1 magnification. No TC was used and lens was vivitar 90mm f2.8, similar to one vivitar 55 f2.8. The flies was indeed huge and maybe becos of global warming that causes the flies to be gigantic over this part of the world Well there are many other types of housefllies over here in singapore. Will try to post some other types. thks for your comment.
