Great shot, I've heard of Storm Petrel but never Storm Gull until now.

Very nice...the lighting and the dark sky in the background and lighting in the gull in the foreground...great pix. I have a 55-300 and I also find it a very good lens for wildlife. Funny thing I find is that a number of Pentax 'consumer' lenses are very capable of wonderful, sharp photographs.
