Macro Hanging On

Stopping off the side of the road on the way to the office this morning, I took a few minutes to take some macros, of which this was my favorite.

Three components: the detailed bug, the cool color contrast between the flowers and the selective focus that lends - to my crazy imagination - a bit of mystery. Anyway, works for me!

Awesome, somehow the DA Limiteds have picked up a reputation for being "clinical," but that's about as "painterly" as it gets. (No doubt though the composition and DOF help tip this over into the sublime, too.
