A non-nature shot
Posted By: ftpaddict, 06-11-2008, 03:47 AM

A car I saw yesterday while on my way home. I liked the lighting and what I could do with this lens.

Can anyone tell me if the lens is any good?
And while you're at it, guess what car it is!

And a 100% crop, showing off the paintwork.

No, but it has roughly 1/3 the pricetag of a Phantom.

Dan, I really like how the surface of the car softly glows and the reflections on it!

Thank you The reflections were what attracted my attention in the first place.

Nice pic. If I had to guess, I'd say it was an Audi. Hard to tell without being an expert on door handles...

Ah, but you see.. these car handles are unique in the automotive industry, at least from a design point of view. They belong to one car and one car alone. Yes it is German, but it is much much much more expensive than an Audi.

Is it a german made car or is the manufacturer a subsidiary of a German car company? It's not a supercar since those are all 2-doors so what 4-door saloon type cars are available from German manufacturers? :: ponders ::

You said the car is German? I thought to recognize a Rover. Isn't that German nowadays?

Naw, that's a crap lens!
With buttery smooth bokeh and crisp sharpness, its no good to you (give it to me!)
I'd second the new Merc CLS guess...

Good lighting, Dan. The door handle really stands out. I would love to see more expanse of the bokeh with the camera angle tilting down a little.

I like the perspective you have with the unique lighting
