a Strawberry Moon
Photo Location: Fountain CO
Posted By: Bob Harris, 06-04-2015, 03:42 PM

Just a quick shot taken as we left our granddaughters home the other night. I didn't have a chance to even change settings, just took the shot out of the car window as we left. Focus was on the moon which blurred the foreground, if I would of had the chance I would of adjusted the settings that I was using inside the house, but better than nothing I guess.

That's a unreal shot - something you see in a dream. Nicely done Bob.

A great thread title for this image, as you say I'd have liked some more sharpness in there too.

Looks a bit like an oil painting.

I have seen many colors and shades of moons in my 65 years, but cannot say I have ever seen something quite like this one. What a great shot.

I think there is a strawberry moon each year, but this is the first I've seen with so much color, not sure if it had to do with the moon rising through a small cloudbank or the clarity of the air here in Colorado. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Certainly a different coloured moon. The middle and foreground focus is interesting to say the least. "Moving Car Window" filter is my guess.

It is different looking for sure Jer, if I had just pulled the car over and stopped it would of turned out so much better. Lesson Learned?, probably not.
