I agree with Maxwell. I love the first shot and the one of the steps. What lens did you use for the first shot.
My DA* 16-50mm on the boat, landing upon La Magdalena, an island between Sardina and Corsica. I used my Tamron 18-250mm for the stairs, could have used the 2mm less of the 16-50mm then.

Me too, the steps! And the last pic has some magic, too. Thanks for sharing your experience! Will you go back there? What will you shoot then?
Cheers

Well, we have travelled a lot, also in Italy we have been around the northern lakes etc, Toscane, Venice, Rome, Umbria, Calabria and Sicily. Sardina is very different in character. In Italy people like to eat late and long, in Sardina most kitchens close at 15:00 for lunch and 22:00 in the evening.
Between 15 and 17:30 the island is closed, you cannot even get gas.
There is this thing called Agri Cultura, a sort of dining at a farm with local products; wine, meat and veggies from the farm. Very good.
You will find a lot of nature, large rocks in the north, smooth valleys in the middle, steep mountains in between. There is not a whole lot of culture, not compared to the main land or Sicily. Almost no remains of the Roman, middle age, renaissance periods anymore. You do find 5400 year old Nouraghes, see the photos. Not as interesting as the rest of the stuff you find on the main land though, the same goes for the churches (duomos), rather dull.
Beaches there are great, so are the pizza's (although it is hard to get one for lunch!) and the Sardinian wines.
To answer the question; will we go there again? No, it was good, however once is enough for us.
