Spiny Bodied Spider

Found this spider on the porch at one of my cleaning jobs. These are my favorite spiders but they are kind of reflective. This makes me want a proper flash for macro even more.

Very nice shots. We used to call these Christmas Spider as that is the time of the year they appeared.

Interesting, in south Texas we see them starting around April. Last few yrs I didn't find very many of them due to the drought but since the weather has been better I have seen more of them.

interesting spider, can't say I've seen one. Nice shootin' of this guy, with the weather you've had I bet you'll see plenty of these.

Nice shots of that Spiny backed orb weaver. I've seen them here but none so far this year. We haven't had much rain lately.
