A few weeks worth of photos (8 imgs)
Posted By: khardur, 06-11-2008, 02:51 PM

Sorry, I've dropped off the map from the forum for awhile, I have no time lately, (work, family, etc, you know the drill).

so with that - here's what I've been doing photographically the past two or three weeks - hopefully I'll have more time soon, though I really doubt that will happen until at least mid-July.

"strobist" type shot - Pentax 50-200 with an extension tube to close focus, wireless Vivitar 285HV flash used.

Fisheye 10-17, 1 sec at f/11 I believe.

Pentax M 150mm f/3.5, 1/100 sec at unknown f/stop. probably f/8 or f/11

40mm Limited at f/2.8

40mm Limited with a massive amount of extension tubes - probably 60mm worth.

This was another shot using the wireless 285HV. (during a rainstorm, I might add, holding an umbrella under my chin - what a sight that would have been)
Lens: 40mm Limited with extension tube

lens: 40mm (corrected)

correction this was the 50-200mm

I really like numbers 2 and 8. Those two represent effects that I have tried repeatedly to achieve and so far have failed miserably. Stunning photos. Thanks for the inspiration.

Agreed on the wet leaf! Awesome shot.

I am impressed with the 55-200 lens at f/16. That really is a great lens.

Dan,

Glad to see you post again. Some really strong images in this bunch. Don't know why but I like the waterfall images () and I also like the water jewelled leaf. Brilliant,

Stephen

I'm sorry, I screwed up tagging these. That waterfall one was the 40mm, and the ducks were shot with the 50-200 kit lens. I fixed them and highlighted in red. again, sorry for the confusion.

Excellent shots Dan, you should be proud of your artistry. Makes me want to try some waterfall pictures.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Betsy,
The flower was from yesterday - it's definitely a step above my previous attempts at flowers.

now off to bed before I take up more sleep time... Until tomorrow, or maybe the weekend!

Very nice collection, I like what you have done with the 40 and extension tubes, 1,5,6 being my favorites, great job on 6, capturing the interesting shape of the leaf, you choose the right technique to present it well and the strobist lighting in nr 1 is subtle but very effective ie: just right

The last three are the best of all. The droplets on the leaf were so stunning. Great skill of photography
