A few shots from our day in the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. The Painted Desert view was enhanced by a recent rain. The petroglyphs are at a place called Newspaper Rock.
An interesting park if you have never been there - an easy loop off of I-40 in eastern Arizona. The third photo really shows the colors of the petrified wood.

as you state, the rain really brings out the colors there. Nice shots btw, they really represent the park well.

Good ones. I like that area. Remnants of Route 66 go though it.
