Ah yes, then there was the time a couple 'em nice Hereford lads handed me that big bloody Bergen ruck, saying (p)Fan Dance would have me sorted, mate....

I've seen a training video of one regiment (not Hereford I hasten to add) using a Bergen on full strap extension as a mine flail.

Wasn't sure if was supposed to be serious or not, but knowing a little about the regiment concerned (who shall remain nameless)... it could well be true.

At any rate, I'm not sure how much shite I'll take from someone who's national uniform features the sporran, but that's a great photo nonetheless.

45 Commando Group are an Arbroath-based Amphibious Commando Unit, that'll be Arbroath, Scotland then, even if they don't wear sporrans.
