Watch Macro with K20 and ISO800
Posted By: palmor, 06-13-2008, 08:13 AM

So as you all know just after getting a new cam you'll just sit there and shoot random things just because I was participating in that time honored tradition when I decided to shoot my watch with just a small desk lamp on. A couple of observations... 1st I had no trouble AF'ing and I'm extremely pleased with the ISO 800 noise (or lack there of).

I know that there are things wrong with this photo (some dust I should clone out on the watch face, some bad reflections) but as far as the overall look and noise handling characteristics I'm really pleased with the K20

No noise reduction, PP included levels and smart sharpen
Taken handheld (still love SR)
Pentax K20D ,Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro
1/8s f/8.0 at 70.0mm iso800

100% cropped section for the pixel peepers
