A bit more light today (about 4 stops), so went back to see if I could improve on my Dolphin shots.

They weren't there (Dolphins that is)... but these all were.

Is there a collective noun for such a group?

If you had taken a picture of six dolphins they would all be going the same way, leaping the same way, looking the same, etc.
Look at this lot - no collective name needed - two tripods, two monopods, one hand held and one seemingly camera-less: Three using OVF, one using LV (with difficulty), one not looking to frame an image at all, and one just a handholder-cum-companion: Then there is four leaving their equipment open to the elements (Pentaxians?) and one with a plastic bag. What a rabble!!
Where is the esprit de corps?

ps I suppose plastic bags are VERY common in your neck of the woods?

I wish there had been Dolphins, I was there two hours and all I got was this motley crew.

No they were some other brands, Nik something couldn't quite make it out and anon, again could quite see, must be fairly popular though.

Oh yes, we carry dustbin size ("trashcan" being the translation for some folk) around with us here, so we can climb in too and keep dry.

A swarm? Of shutterbugs? The one guy has camo on his kit. Maybe next time to slay the dolphins.

That's so the Dolphins can't see you on the beach.

It looks more like a Gaggle such as geese or something since the appear to be in a sort of single file line there. Lol, my question is why? Is the path where they are so narrow that they couldn't spread out to so as not to have to shoot around each other?

I was trying to be clever. A dop of photographers waiting for a pod of dolphins. See what I did there?

It's not the size off the lens but off you're belly that brings you furthest in front in this pack, guess he's best equipped for shielding the rest off them against the elements
