Backyard Bird Menagerie
Lens: DFA 100 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Backyard
Posted By: Sailor, 06-30-2015, 10:10 AM

A day or two ago my wife's bird feeder attracted quite a crowd of flying critters. I lack the talent, patience, gear and commitment to do the kind of first-class bird photography that we often see on the forum, but I was sufficiently intrigued with the diversity of characters that appeared "on stage" to grab a few shots. These three examples all were produced with a DFA 100 macro and are very heavily cropped.

Scientific Name: Black bellied, white/browned winged, red-billed, whistling duck, which came from the factory with the optional talons.

Thanks, EM. I'll try to do as you suggest but I've gotta keep in mind that Connie swings a mean bat.

Thanks, Norbert. That B&W one is my pick as well.
