Ant on a plant
Lens: F35-80 Camera: Kx ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F9
Posted By: mohb, 07-01-2015, 01:25 PM

Tried out the F35-80 on Kx to see if they would make a decent 'point and shoot' as the lens has not been used for a decade and the Kx gets very little use these days as I now have a K50 and K5II.

Looks like a successful experiment to me.

You can be pleased that this one photo both found a "new camera" for you and resulted in such an interesting picture.

That turned out pretty good. I didn't realize the old 35-80 focused that close.

Some of those old zoom lens claimed to have macro settings that were not really macro ie 1/3, 1/4 size of so. But this one looks to be a great close up lens.

Weird-looking plant. Surprising that you could get such a magnification with this old lens. Thanks for sharing.
