Sorry guys, the ball never made it into any of the original shots. I just used PS to overlay the originals.

I see the ball. How is it you guys don't?

(Very cool and well-executed, by the way).

Yes it's there Mike Second image from the left. It would have been even better if you could see it coming out of his hand on the last shot of the sequence. But that doesn't take away from the excellent work on this shot.

Very cool effect....

It is in this kind of shot I envy D300 or 40d users.. as I'm sure the extra 3ps ( to give you 6 ) from the 40d would have picked up the ball.. or the extra 6 from the D300 with battery grip would have most certainly captured the complete cycle!! ( to give you 9 )

It's actually kind of one of the reason I'm not getting a 20d. My K10 has thousands and thousands of shots left on it, and I really feel it is a better designed camera as far as the controls go than anything Canon or Nikon has to offer so I'm hoping and praying that the next iteration in the Pentax line really brings the AF and the FPS up to par with what else is out there on the market... I know with the K20 they focused on enhancing the functionality of the camera and the image quality, its just not worth the leap for me...

really really cool effect though... and great photoshopt work to boot!!

Congrats!!

I got your stinking ball right here This one is from another game shot with the 55-300mm at 300mm. Used a different effect this time instead of a straight overlay. Thanks for all the great comments!
