Some shots taken over a year ago but recently reworked. The first batch was taken at Jalama Beach State Park, a pretty remote spot about 60 miles northwest of Santa Barbara.

On the way home from Jalama Beach, I was treated to an amazing sunset. These shots were taken near Gaviota Pass off US 101.

Great shots, I like the 7th best. Is that one from a single exposure or HDR'd in post from brackets? Jalama is a very beautiful place.

Thanks Pentaxpixie. #7 was a single RAW file, processed in Lightroom only. I just used the tone sliders judiciously to get the effect. The sky came out lighter than I would have liked (it was actually taken after #6 I think) but if I made it much darker to enhance the sunset colors, the foreground grasses became too dark.

All really excellent shots, and smartly cropped to maximize composition, too. #5 might be my favorite - it contains a multitude of details that repeatedly draws my eyes back to it.

Thanks luftluss, glad you liked that one. I hesitated including it but I really liked the seagull preparing to land.
