Lens: Pentax DA 55-300 mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Oxnard, CA ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/800s Aperture: F14

Driving through the Oxnard plain I saw rows of hoops that were set up to provide shade (when covered with plastic) for the row crops. For this shot I aimed at an oblique angle to the rows and got this unusual geometric look. This is also my first try at split-tone processing in Lightroom.

I absolutely love this, Jerry. Creative and cool - wish I'd have taken it.

Great shot. You could enter it into the current National Geographic assignment "What's in a Frame?" It fits the theme perfectly:

Thanks sailor! Come on out to Oxnard at the right time of year and you can give it shot!

Thanks for the idea sealonsf. I went ahead and did just that on your advice, but I think the competition is pretty tough.

The red object (it looked like a hooded person) adds an air of mystery.

Thanks Bruce, yes it's a worker with a hood, I didn't even notice him until I looked at this again a few days ago. I think it was taken about two years ago.
