a candid from canadian national superbike

here's one from the races this weekend. i'm working in the pits for a friend who is racing in the superbike class for the canadian nationals this weekend in our home town Edmonton, Alberta.

the guy in the picture is a very highly regarded setup guru. i've had the good fortune of spinning wrenches alongside the guy, and it has been a great experience. i feel like i captured a bit of his aura in this shot as he removes the top caps from a set of forks on a kawasaki zx6r

The guy behind looks like he's stealing industrial secrets with that intensity of stare.

Naw, he just really needs to pee.

The guys is such a respected set-up guru that he'd feels reluctant to interrupt his thought process to ask where the washroom is.

Why am I the only guy that sees these things.

I really enjoyed the picture by the way... you really did get his aura, I can smell him. (Oh wait, that must be me.)

I did help my buddies work on their motorcycles when I was younger, I guess the scene triggered the memories of those days. That's a really good photograph, when it triggers your non-visual senses.

So sad I don't have mine anymore.

This was one of my early videos with my girlfriends at the track.

I had just left the pits and my tires were warming up...that GSX-R 750...kept behind me, then, it was time to "roll throttle".

It doesn't help my frequency all that much, but I don't worry about most anything after a few Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale. I do mix my drinks, though. I have a pack of 1664 downstairs.
