A nature park in town has a wetlands area and some fields with flowers. I brought the DA* 300 to shoot some butterflies. On the trail passing the wetlands area I heard a splash and went to the edge and saw this guy come up. He froze for a while while I got off three or four shots. Unfortunately it was right into the morning sun.

I have two questions. Is that a crawfish, or something in his mouth - I can't quite tell. Also, any Lightroom ideas on how to improve the look of the water.

I think that's vegetation in his mouth. That's what they eat, and every muskrat I've known has not been hesitant to carry the greens around.
