Hi everyone,
Found the forum in Dec when I was looking for some info but haven't really posted or introduced myself so I figured it was about time.. and what better way then to post a photo

Anyway I took this over the weekend in Newburyport MA along the Merrimack river. My wife and I had been spotting eagles all day but none close enough for a good photo until this guy decided to perch on a branch along a road. I had posted this on dpreview so sorry to anyone that saw it there a few days ago.

Comments/suggestions always weclome.. always good to hear suggestive criticism.

Lens: Sigma EX 70-200 f2.8 (non DG) with Sigma 2xTC. I used a tripod as a monopod since he was standing almost directly above me.

Focal Lenth: 400mm
Exposure Time: 1/180 sec
Aperture: f/4 (realy f/8 because of the TC)
ISO: 400
Exposure Bias: -1

How your right.. I see it when I'm logged into the forums but in another browser its not there. I'll edit the photo and just put a link to the picture (its on pbase).

Thanks for the heads up.. since the photo shows for me I would never have known!

I edited.. its strange because even with just the URL I sometimes get "You are unautherized to view this page" error in IE. As soon as I refresh though it appears fine. I left the image there plus put in a link.. if it doesn't show up try hitting refresh after clicking on the link. I wonder if there is something going on with pbase?

Very nice and lucky shot! Scruffy? Who said he looks scruffy? He just looks like any young troublemaker out trying to start something. Fantastic bird.

hehe thanks for the comments everyone. Its so strange that people are getting those errors trying to view the photo. Its hosted on pbase and I haven't ever had trouble with linking photo's there from dpreview.

Anyway thanks again for the comments. We'll be off again this weekend trying to find them again
