One from today at the 2015 Scottish National Sheep Dog Trials.

These dogs can really put on a turn of speed, this shot at 1/4000.

Lucky for you--that "blur" really makes the shot to my eyes. You will have to publicize the tragic shortage of breeks there in your native land, though--perhaps Bob Geldof could host a telethon.

Great shot. I recall being at a Border Collie sheep herding event and being absolutely mesmerized by Border Collie's speed, intelligence, skill and..... ability to team with the Shepherd. Think the event was held at the grounds of Culzean Castle....way back in the '80's.

The Shepherd's did a great job too....but those dogs....

Sheep Dog trials are great to watch, amazing when a man & dog have it all together....and amusing when man & dog haven't quite connected.
We used to have them in our local town many moons ago and the amateur events were highly entertaining with man, dog & each sheep all going in different directions
Well captured too, very descriptive shot.

I know absolutely nothing about Sheep Dog Trials, but I do like this picture, it does tell a story.

I like this one very much - an unusual (to me) subject, great color, wonderful detail and super composition.

Showed my wife the picture....she liked it very much...but said what part of this picture doesn't fit ? I didn't know, until she pointed out the digital timer. Modernity ...in a scene that could of been 100 years ago.
