Took this portrait of my mom, which she'll use as her author photo for her upcoming Audubon piece. Thought it was a nice portrait, so i figured I'd share it. That sigma just continues to wow me...

(And yeah, I know she has a 70D strap around her neck. It was given to her by her workplace, so I like to imagine that if she'd bought a DSLR on her own initiative, I'd have convinced her to get a Pentax)

Zoe, that is a very nice portrait of your Mom in natural light. BTW, I looked at your profile and would like a picture of you riding a polar bear to the uni.

Would love to oblige, but Kenny is incredibly camera shy.... last time i tried to take a selfie with him, he almost ate my mobile phone. Turns out that no amount of insurance or warranty claims cover polar bear slobber

Oh, I do understand, it was the same problem with the Grizzly Bears when we lived in the Yukon.

Good shot. Easy enough to clone out the letters on that strap. I have a Canon 70D - with a plain strap :-)
