I like the grace in the pose in the first shot but that darn twig. The second shot has nice clarity and color. Also like the bokeh. Me, I am still seeking my first blue heron shot. They are always flying above me!

The first one is interesting. If you could have zoomed in closer, maybe there would be something interesting possible with the GBH's relationship to the branch. I think there's too much useless stuff on the right side of the image. I *do* like that you've made the heron a part of a scene, rather than yet another (and I do this, lol) "let's see if I can fill the whole frame with the animal" photo.

2nd pic is very nice, I like the rock, I like the unusual pose, I like the separation from the background. It's also nicely balanced, IMO.

I like both images but the second one is superb. Thanks for showing us
