Just spent a few days camping near this wonderful tree - can't think of a nicer start to a day than saying 'good morning' to it

Nice images, like the texture in the second one. What kind of a tree is it and how old would it be?

Its an Ash tree and given its situation on an old farm in the Yorkshire dales is probably at least a couple of hundred years old

Definitely a photogenic tree--the "short tele" treatment was a great choice as well.

It's a case where 'detail' works better than showing the whole.
