Blue moon. The first shot is processed with the new Photos App on OSX 10.11 Beta El Capitan, the second with Aperture and the Nik plugins.

How fitting! Cool shots. I look at that image an imagine the big asteroid slamming into it. Must have made a racket.

Thanks. That it would have been. I think it would have had quite and effect even for the earth.

Thanks, reminds me of the TV show Terra Nova and the moon was bigger because it has been moving away from the earth.
