Waterfall

We do not have much for waterfalls in the lower peninsula of Michigan. This is about as good as it gets here. Waited till the sun started to go down with my camera on the tripod. I used liveview, which I am still getting used to and a remote to trigger the camera.

10 seconds with ND filter @ 50mm

3 Seconds @ 19mm

A different vantage point, 5 Seconds @ 29mm

Nice spot, pretty light, #3 is my favorite.

Have you considered shooting here with a tele lens? I think tight shots of the top and bottom of this waterfall would be worthwhile.

Very nice images, love the first one. Is that a natural or man-made tunnel on top?

Thank you, I really like the third one too. I had to spread the tripod legs on the ground and have one in the water to get the right angle. I did shoot some with my 50-135, I just have not processed them yet.

Thank you Heinrich, actually it is all man made. This is run off from storm water from the town. Before the water gets here it goes another man made stream full of rocks and plants that are used as a natural filter for the water before it reaches the lake. Where you see the tunnel is another park above. There is a set of stairs that lead down.
