This little set comes from a car show I shot up in Logan, UT around the 4th of July. I particularly liked how these came out.

Nice pix of that Corvair Rampside pickup. It was quite innovative, having a curb side ramp to load and unload the truck safely. There was a van version...the Greenbriar.

Superb images! It goes to show how good the little 18-55mm lens REALLY is! I think it is often overlooked because of the "kit lens" tag. It, combined with the K-50 is one heck of a rig!

Absolutely, Kit lenses these days are all around pretty good. Maybe not amazing sharp sometimes, but well more than enough to get the job done until money comes in for the higher quality glass. I have some other decent primes and such, but my kit 18-55mm is always my go to lens for car shows, because with the distances I have to take shots at it covers it all perfectly.

I've found that my 18-55 WR lens is noticeably sharper than the non-WR version. A friend has noticed the same thing with his two. Supposedly, they're identical other than the WR feature, but I beg to differ. My little WR is among the top three or four lenses I own when it comes to sharpness. It's my favorite when shooting still life or items to put on the Marketplace or eBay.
