The Perseid Meteor shower showcase
Posted By: charliezap, 08-11-2015, 03:26 PM

I should post this in mini challenges but most of my my fellow Pentaxians are on this page. The peak of the Perseid meteor shower is coming up in the next 2 days. They say it will be a good year but then again they always say that.Let us see your shots of the event from around the globe in the next several days. This shot was from a campground in Saiisbury Ma. last week showing the big and little dipper. The data is 30 secs at f/4 400 ISO @ 18mm with the Pentax 18-250 lens. just to give you a guide. The origin of the show will be in the NE sky about 1/2 way up after midnight. I hope that I get a decent one here in the Boston area considering the light pollution. Release the kraken and let the games begin---charliezap

Nice one! The line at bottom left is curious, as it doesn't really look like a meteor.

As most of the time, I'm late to the party (spent some time with PP). Here's my best result from a mountain top in the Styrian alps. K-5 II, Samyang 16mm at f/2.4, 10 sec., ISO 800, 11 shots merged in lighten mode.

... I can't seem to get the interval function to keep going for the duration of shots that I tell it to
I'm doing this with the burst mode, works without any problems until the battery runs out.
