Snake Eye
Lens: smc PENTAX D FA MACRO 100mm F2.8 WR Camera: k3ll ISO: 125 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F10

#1 original, #2 cropped only. #3 cropped and edited. #4 another original no edit. All with flash. #3 I edited the bright flash spots away. The opaque spot on eyeball either remained or it was embellished/increased/added from the original #1 shot by the spot editing? Any comments suggestions opinions welcomed. Which is better to your eye?

Like the last one. Garter snake's body is curved and poised to strike and tongue is out.

Yeah y'all, I was wondering would you have edited the eyes and other bright spots from the flash in the first place, and if so was what I did an improvement or a mauling in frame three? Thanks.

I should have put this up for the critiquing forum. Where's the tech gurus when you need them?

These may well be great shots... but I feel just way to close to this beast.

It's a common Garter snake harmless. I happened upon'em. There are no poisonous snakes in western Washington.

That maybe so... but it still slithers and looks snake like.

lol True. So I must ask, what kind of snakes grow in the Highlands or Lowlands for that matter? I'm shoring up for this answer.
