there was an arts festival in toronto this week and a lot of stuff happening everywhere. managed to take some photos, but missed a lot of stuff because i went on friday and also rained out a bit. however did get to hop on a boat and get some great views of the city. i think i just discovered my favourite city walkabout lens, the A50 1.2.

the guy was trying to blow a glass camera, but it didn't turn out too well

some public art

biscotti with mayan hot chocolate

took this picture of a boat returning as i waited for the boat ride

boat ride was a great opportunity to take night shots of the city.

harbourfront centre

comments and criticisms especially welcome, thanks

I like the series. The boat and CN tower is well composed with the mast offsetting the tower. I like the second last one of the city, nice colour but just a tad soft (motion blur - handheld?)

Give it time. Besides, some of us (READ ME, MYSELF AND I) have a EURO 2008 to watch and haven't had much time for anything else.

very good shots

altho it makes me wonder how long can they keep up the "paint a picture in the distillery districts ally way", that seems to be like a "thing" to do.

also dont let the lack of comments bother you, you should have seen my Quebec City thread... 1 response!

it looks a lot better in the original file but you're right there is some slight motion blur because i was on a boat. but at 1/13 at f2.5 resting the camera on the railing, i think it turned out pretty good.

you missed it ... http://www.luminato.com/ maybe next year. lots of good photo taking opportunities. you're right about #5, the A50 wasn't wide enough, should have used the FA31

thanks, sometimes it's a bit disheartening when i see other new photos get postings but seems like mine gets skipped over. i think preferred the paint in the ally to some of the other "Art" there which was more abstract.

Great shots - I think I was on the same boat ride, the next day. Should really get around to PPing my shots and post a few. Too lazy - too much going on at work I just don't feel like sitting infront of the screen for long.
