Flower Child

This evening, my wife helped our visiting 10-year-old granddaughter, Claire, wash her voluminous head of hair (a major undertaking). I grabbed this shot after all the drying, shaking and fluffing; I felt like I was transported back to the late '60s.

She's such a cute flower child. She really does look authentic, could easily be in a movie.

I appreciate the kind words, my friend. Yeah - the shot makes me recall Janice Joplin's psychedelic Porsche 356.

I hope so, Norm! Although I dug Janice's music, I assuredly don't want Claire to follow Joplin's life trajectory.

She was my very first concert when I was 17. They have her porsche at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. You could spend a few days in there - great place!

Seeing her up on stage singing "Try, just a little bit harder." hopping around the stage with her little legs pumping away, at the John Lennon Peace festival in Toronto is probably one of my favourite Rock and Roll memories. Sometimes these images just get burned into your memory. She was a bundle of energy.
