Lightning at Black Mesa Oklahoma

I'm always jealous, living in a valley, that I rarely have the opportunity to get good vista lightning shots. Frequently I can stand in the yard and watch the storms hammer the landscape miles away, which makes a fun video. But by the time those storms get to us the rain is usually here too...

Wow those are great! We never see lightning in SoCal. Do you have one of those lightning triggers?

Thanks Everyone. On a sturdy tripod, I set the camera (this shoot was the 645Z 90mm) on Bulb function. ISO 200-400 F8-F16 Manual focus. I then open the shutter using a remote, hold it open for 8-15 seconds. Repeat until I get the strike.
