Nice work Scott that Robin with the worm is a great capture. Almost looks the the areas in Sherwood Park I go to often. Then again there are wettlands all over.

very nice photos. only criticism is that i think all of your animals could be a tad sharper (maybe it's the downrezzing).
what lens did you use for these photos?

Thanks Dave, I imagine most of the sloughs in Alberta share the same birds and scenery. They do make great areas for nature photography though.


Thanks K100d, I'd love to blame it on the downsizing but honestly I believe it is me. I'm hoping to take some photography classes so I can get the most out of my equipment. Learning to shoot with glasses on might help too, I have a devil of a time getting the focus right and don't find the auto-focus is that good either.

All these were taken with my Ist and the Sigma 50-500 lens. Also all were shot with a tripod as the Ist has no shake reduction. Although with such a long lens a tripod will remain part of my standard gear.
