Birds Nesting
Lens: DA 55-300mm f4-5.8 ED Camera: K5 Photo Location: Hazelwood Park

The birds are starting to nest in our local park, particularly Rainbow Lorikeets and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos. It was a long wait beneath a a tree before the nesting cockatoo got agitated enough to spread its crest and screech a stream of invective at me.

Thanks Janse. We're blessed with lots of very colourful birds in Australia - even in the middle of suburbia.

There great, owned a premium pet shop some 15 years ago were I sold captivity bread Rosella’s , Cockatiel and Parakeets. Owned a view myself as well. Given enough attention, the right food, a big open cage and kept in pairs they are really great companion. Apart from the volume they produce the are really like the Australians I know. Friendly, open minded and loyal mates
