Flowers and Bees
Posted By: Mikhail, 06-20-2008, 10:12 AM

Weather has been quite nice recently so my "macro" lens has been getting a bit of a work out! After chasing a bee around for and hour I gave up and shot some flowers. Some of the better ones are below. Also a little tip: don't shoot with your dog in the neighbourhood, he\she will chase away the insects and step in front of the camera just as you press the shutter button!

Comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: Forget the little bee..

The other bee shots can be seen here.

Thanks

Very nice stuff! Good colors and composition, but then I'm partial to these types of photos!

Thanks for sharing, Les

Mikhail,
I enjoyed your series. I especially was impressed with #4 and the way you captured the subtle color variations in the rose.

Very nice series I also liked the last rose shot. Nice OOF roses in the background that really make the shot. Good Bee captures.

Thanks guys very much appreciated.
About the thumbnail's Dave I try to keep them small for forums so as people on slower connections don't get bog down and to try and help keep Adam's bandwidth down. They are all click-able to see a larger version as well.

Thanks

Great use of shadow. The subjects are well lit and good composition on the flowers too
