Lazy turtle
Lens: DA*50-135 Camera: K3 Photo Location: Petoskey, MI ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F6.3

I saw this turtle from the other side of a river and grabbed a few shots with my 55-300. However I did not like the angle of the shot so I decided to hike over to the other side. I put my 50-135 on my camera and hiked where I knew the turtle would be. I was quiet to close enough for the 50-135. I got one shot before someone from the other scared him off. I wish I had more time so I could have used a smaller aperture.

This is the one I got with my 55-300 at 300mm.

Lazy turtle

This guy wouldn't be easy to find in a petting zoo. I'm not surprised that he wasn't an eager model either.

That is a great shot! You did good by getting up close, I would have been too lazy to make the walk.

Otis took a peek and loved it too........said it was a turtle he could relate to.......

I think I see why?

Regards!

My brother begged Grandad to save a guy similar to this one that he caught while fishing. Gramps got bit in the palm of his right hand for his trouble We kept the 12 incher for month in a cow watering tank for month and then returned it to a local stream.
