Thank you

Not the best - but it was the only shot of the day ( was running out of daylight when I finally got to go outside with a camera )

You used natural light so that in of itself is not easy to get it this well. Either that's a big fly or you got dern close.

Very cool rig. Interesting. Your flash work here to my eyes it very subtle. I see you got deep DOF with f/32, I suppose that might have been the give away or else the sun is mighty 3x brighter in Au. Nice job on the hairy beast.

Interesting flash set-up. Can you tell me more about the flash support and other accessories. Looks nicely balanced. I use a Kirk flash arm off to the side but have never felt comfortable with it.

All ebay budget items

Seagull SC 2 Flash Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Sync Socket | eBay ( possibly the worst ? )

C Shape Flash LED Video Bracket Flashlight Camera Holder Mount Flash DSLR SLR DV | eBay

New 1 4" Hot Shoe Ball Head Flash Bracket Holder Mount Screw for Camera Tripod | eBay ( or something better )

CY 20 Universal Hot Shoe Camera Electronic Flash for Canon Nikon Pentax Olympus | eBay ( This flash - Low Voltage )

12" 12 inch 2 5mm to Male Flash PC Sync Cable Cord | eBay ( Sync chord )

And you have the makings of a budget macro flash set up ...

Runs 2 x AA batteries , so its not super powerful ..

I find that for the money , it does the job . It does sometimes BURN the image ( just a little ) but I blame Ricoh / Pentax for not offering more settings .. ISO - Shutter speed ....
Something that both Nikon and Canon do offer ...

2016 I may need to move to Canon or Nikon if I want to take better Macro photos .. ( Its just the way it is unfortunately ) , I need a more Macro versatile camera ...
Probably why I stopped buying lenses for Pentax ...
