Nope - it's a model of some prehistoric creature. I think the scientific name is: uglysuckeropod.

As I mentioned above, this is a model of a prehistoric sea creature - I think a distant ancestor of the nautilus (?). This thing is on display at the Sugar Land annex of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

This one won't eat you (clearly I returned from my encounter with the thing limbs intact), but the original might have.

I have seen that in the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea movie! There are advantage to living in the GWN not too many scary creatures (the dangerous ones here are all cute like bears , Elk, Bison, Moose, etc hahah)

I've seen that thing myself, buddy . . . . . . . after an extended cocktail hour, but I was no where near the water.
