This was taken at the Botanica Gardens in Wichita, KS. It really reminds me of some of the flowers in the THX "Amazing Life" logo before some movies.

Looks like a member of the Passion Flower family and yes they are truly quite spectacular.

Yep that's a passion flower. My dad planted some in our backyard when I was a kid. Very nice macro!

Love this image! Passionflowers are one of my favorite flowers of all time. I am fortunate enough to live in an area that they grow wild.
